Cottage Industries Development Organization (CIDO) is a registered Tanzanian Non-Governmental Organization focused on promoting sustainable socio-economic development through community empowerment, entrepreneurship, vocational skills training, and the development of cottage industries and small-scale enterprises.
CIDO was established to address key challenges such as unemployment, poverty, limited economic opportunities, and skills gaps, particularly among women, youth, and marginalized communities.
The organization is guided by the belief that sustainable development is achieved when people are equipped with practical skills, knowledge, and opportunities that enable self-reliance and improved livelihoods
Through community-based programs and strategic partnerships, CIDO works to strengthen local economies, improve living standards, and support inclusive and sustainable development.
